Title: AIR RESOURCES SUPERVISOR I
Salary: $7,377.00 - $8,965.00
DUTIES: The Air Quality and Transportation Planning Branch is hiring an Air Resources Supervisor I to lead a section focused on transportation system emissions analyses that will support multi-pollutant planning by the Planning and Technical Support Division and across the agency. This position will develop and apply analytical tools and methodologies to assess the impacts of potential alternative transportation technologies, fuels, and activity on criteria pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions.
This section will work with Air Resources Board (ARB) technical staff, air districts, regional transportation planning agencies, and stakeholders to conduct scenario-based analyses as part of State Implementation Plan development, greenhouse gas forecasting for climate planning, and emissions reduction program and rule development to meet California’s air pollution and climate change goals. The section will prepare high-profile reports, presentations, and policy documents that require a high-level blend of technical and policy content. To this end, we are seeking an enthusiastic individual who has practical experience working in highly collaborative environments, and demonstrated leadership skills in both technical analyses and policy development.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have strong technical and policy skills and the ability to lead a team in the use of complex technical tools to develop politically sensitive multi-pollutant scenarios.
