JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the general direction of the Financial Systems & Analysis Unit Manager, the incumbent applies a high level of professional and technical skills to perform financial analysis related to CalSTARS and the Activity Based Costing (ABC) methodology. The incumbent will work with all levels of management to provide reports and fiscal advisory services to the department. The incumbent will assist in the implementation of new or revised operational processes, while independently performing the more complex work assignments including specialized tasks related to maintaining CalSTARS.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS :
- Experience with CalSTARS and Financial Cost Analysis
- Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Governmental budgeting and accounting principles and practices
- Experience with classroom and one-on-one training
- Experience designing, preparing, and analyzing reports containing complex data
- Desire to improve the level of services and products provided to the Department
