The reporting location for this position is the Department of Parks and Recreation headquarters located in Sacramento. This position will work under the direction of the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor). The Accountant I will work in the Accounts Payable Unit. Duties include but are not limited to, audit and process Cal Card statements, contracts, purchase orders and misc. invoices, prepare and assemble invoices and statements into claim schedules for input into CALSTARS. Respond to inquiries from Districts and/or vendors regarding payment status, and reconcile balances on CALSTARS against assigned District/Division's encumbrance reports. The working location for this position is close to the State Capitol, Downtown and Light Rail. Please reference Position number 549-070-4177-022 on State Application. State Housing is not available.
