JOB DESCRIPTION : Under the general direction of the Administrator I, the incumbent performs a variety of analytical support activities including, but not limited to, managing amended business entity return inventory, preparing reports surrounding inventory management and communicating and serving as liaison with Audit Division contacts and BES staff. Analyze complex account problems reported by processing staff and recommend a course of action. Assess the business entity return validation program, policies, legislation and procedures to improve efficiency. Work independently and in a team environment with team members. Represent Business Entities Section in departmental meetings, projects and teams. The incumbent recommends a course of action under tight time constraints and with limited information to ensure problem resolution and efficiency of services.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Ability to analyze and evaluate situations, draw sound conclusions, and determine and implement an appropriate course of action.
Experience leading projects or teams and interact effectively with customers, peers, and management.

Knowledge of FTB’s organization, operations, and business entity tax law.
Knowledge of FTB systems: BETS, eView, IDAX, BITS.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
