PROGRAM IMPROVEMENT ASSESSMENT ANALYSIS

STAFF SERVICES ANALYST

DUTY STATEMENT

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Correctional Education Programs, the SSA will assist with the data analysis and additional tasks required with the oversight of institutional academic and career technical education programs. Tasks include research, program evaluation, data tracking, IT oversight, mission based duties, and educational testing data analysis, to support the Office of Correctional Education (OCE) internal and external customers. The SSA consults with and makes recommendations to management, providing solution alternatives based on research and analysis. The SSA acts as the secondary contact person for assigned programs and acts as a backup team leader coordinating efforts of representatives of various departments.

Specific duties include:

35% Assists with the Verified High School Diploma and GED data base, analyze and submit data from the institutional adult schools, monitor deadlines, provide data analysis and reports to the Performance and Data Fidelity Unit for inclusion in inmate data base. Monitor, report, and replace information on the OCE share drive.

30% Organize and compile monthly, quarterly, and annual statistics on education programs and student population. Prepare comparative reports, charts, and surveys. Update and maintain the integrity of data systems consistent with the scope of assigned duties. Extract data and prepare reports as requested by the Associate Superintendents and Principals, in addition to scheduled monthly and quarterly reports. Create pivot tables to extract population data for school management and education resource allocation

15% Track statistical data from new and on-going rehabilitative program projects including inventories, test scores, equipment distribution, and device warranties. Act as a liaison between OCE and Contracts for statewide purchases of educational equipment and supplies. Collaborate with institutional warehouse personnel to ensure that goods are received, inventoried, and received by education staff.

10% Assist local and field education staff on the Strategic Offender Management System (SOMS) and other OCE education support software. Perform checks on data integrity. Manage OCE Network Folders. Scan and file documents appropriately for organization and ease of retrieval. Track proof of practice on field training of education staff on new rehabilitative education program roll-outs and continuing programs.

10% Perform other duties as assigned.

ASSOCIATE GOVERNMENTAL PROGRAM ANALYST

DUTY STATEMENT

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Correctional Education Programs, the AGPA has the responsibility to perform the data analysis and additional tasks required to assist with the oversight of institutional academic and career technical education programs. Tasks include research, program evaluation, data tracking, IT oversight, mission based duties, and educational testing data analysis, to support the Office of Correctional Education (OCE) internal and external customers. The AGPA consults with and makes recommendations to management, providing solution alternatives based on research and analysis. The AGPA acts as the primary contact person for assigned programs and acts as a team leader coordinating efforts of representatives of various departments.

Specific duties include:
