The reporting location for this position is Mt. San Jacinto State Park in Idyllwild. This position will work under the supervision of the State Park Superintendent II. This position works at Mt. San Jacinto State Park and occasionally at the Long Valley Ranger Station located atop the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway within Mt. San Jacinto. This position is responsible for land patrol, law enforcement, interpretation, resource management, and visitor safety at Mt. San Jacinto State Park. The function of this position is to ensure the safety of the visitor, interpret natural, cultural and recreational resources, protect facilities, manage campground operations, prepare reports and maintain equipment used in the patrol and interpretive functions and other duties as required. The incumbent will work a 5/8 schedule. State housing is not available.
