JOB DESCRIPTION : Under the direction of the Administrator I of the Tax Practitioner Hotline, the incumbent serves as a lead and provides highly skilled technical and mentoring assistance for 11-14 Tax Practitioner Hotline agents. The lead must be highly knowledgeable in departmental policies, procedures, and regulations. The lead assists the Administrator I by clearly communicating team trends and opportunities for increased efficiencies, and works closely with the other Tax Practitioner Hotline leads to participate in the operational change process to identify and resolve work-related issues. Responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of the work performed by the team, and that the team’s performance is consistent with the departments Mission and Values. The incumbent promotes a positive work environment and sets a good example for employees. The operational hours of the Hotline are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Working knowledge of PIT and BE systems, account transactions, etc.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to resolve issues effectively and efficiently.
Experience working in a call center.
Working knowledge of PIT and BE tax laws.
Working knowledge and experience with Taxpayer Folder and Case Management.
Ability to use tact and good judgment, work under pressure, adapt to variable workloads and changing priorities.
Excellent technical, analytical, organization, and time management skills.
Knowledge of Project Management Principles.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Enthusiasm and sense of humor.
