Job Description: Notice: This is a TAU (Temporary Authorization Utilization) appointment in lieu of a permanent position, however may become permanent in the future.
The reporting location for this position will be in southern California, and will be determined upon hiring. This position will work under the direction of the PORTS Program Manager. This position is responsible for coordination of the Department’s award-winning Parks Online Resources for Teachers and Students (PORTS) Distance Learning Program. This position works closely with numerous State Parks and school districts located throughout southern California. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of K-12 education pedagogy and processes and should have a desire to connect 21st century learners to California State Parks’ unique resources using distance learning and instructional technologies. This position demands an individual who is creative and organized and has the initiative to work independently as well as collaboratively in a closely aligned team. Extensive travel throughout southern California and working weekends will be required. State housing is not available.
