The reporting location for this position is Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division Headquarters in Sacramento. This position will work under the direction of the Division Chief. The SPS III is responsible for the management of the OHMVR Division Law-Enforcement (LE) program. Areas of responsibility include Public Safety, LE Deployments, Statewide LE Training, LE Grants, and Division-wide Investigations, including sensitive Internal Affairs (IA) investigations. This position must establish and maintain the highest level of professional relationships between a broad array of user groups, environmental interest holders, legal representatives, political representatives, government leaders from multiple jurisdictions, private consultants, and staff at all levels within the Department.
