Looking for something exciting with continuous opportunities to learn new things? The IT Administrative Support Team within the Technology Services Branch has an opening for a Staff Services Analyst. The Program Planning Analyst provides a range of analytical services related to program performance reviews, communication planning and resource management planning. The incumbent also provides back up support to the branch budget and human resource analysts.

Essential Functions:

Under supervision, is responsible for data steward activities for the Technology Services Branch. Plans and facilitates meetings with managers to identify, define and refine appropriate performance measures in accordance with CalSTRS Balanced Scorecard methodology. Assists in developing data collection methods, setting appropriate performance measures targets, and establishing appropriate reporting mechanisms for business reviews. Updates performance measure dashboards and business plans as necessary. Assists in identifying and documenting trends and changes impacting Branch goals and objectives. Support, collaborate and track Technology Services business plan activities related to achieving performance targets.

Assists in the development of communication plans related to various work activities. Helps support and facilitate the execution of the communication plan with the Technology Services leadership team through electronic communications, informational sessions and/or demonstrations. Coordinate with BusinessRenew Change Management in the completion of on-going business readiness assessments. Review and provide input to business readiness action plans. Supports branch leadership in the development and execution of action plans.

Responsible for developing and maintaining resource management data and reports. Update resource management database on new projects, initiatives, and staff resources. Analyze data and create management reports as needed. Assist with resource capacity planning. Assist in presenting and reporting status to Technology Services leadership.

Assist in researching emerging practices and trends within the technology industry. Develop technical briefing on findings.

Serves as the Architecture and Standards Council (ASC) coordinator. Responsible for preparation of meeting materials and agenda, documenting meeting decisions, creation of minutes and distribution to appropriate parties
