The Centralized Revenue Opportunity System (CROS) Project is a modernization effort to replace BOE’s legacy mainframe-based revenue and collection systems, to develop an enterprise data warehouse, and to expand online services.
The CROS Project needs 1.0 Business Taxes Specialist II.
Under the general direction of the Business Taxes Administrator III (BTA III), the Business Tax Specialist II (BTS II) is delegated tasks related to special projects, representation at meetings involving both internal and external stakeholders, expert review of documents, proposals, and issue memoranda related to the impact of the CROS Project’s impact of BOE operations. Successful completion of these critical tasks requires an extensive technical knowledge about BOE tax practices, policies, and procedures. The BTS II is responsible for leading, directing and coordinating the most difficult and complex special projects. These projects focus on resolving overlapping organizational, audit, compliance, administrative, and legal issues affecting the implementation and roll-out of the proposed CROS Solution. These projects involve determining the impact of existing tax practices, policies, procedures that may affect or may be affected by the development and implementation of the CROS Solution. The BTS II responsibilities include development of analysis and recommendations to Board management on proposed statutory, policy and procedural changes.
Who May Apply: Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, or have list eligibility.
