Job Description:
Under the general direction of the Audit Supervisor of the Motor Carrier Office, Special Taxes Audit and Carrier Division, the incumbent performs the less to moderately difficult level field audits as mandated by the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA). The incumbent should be familiar with word processing and spreadsheet personal computer programs or be willing to learn how to use them. The incumbent will be preparing correspondence involving the taxpayers and a varied group of representatives from government and private industry, related to California’s IFTA program. The incumbent will be developing and producing reports and schedules. The incumbent may assist on special projects. The incumbent may be required to travel less than 50% of the work time, primarily to in-state locations. Interested candidates must meet educational requirements. All applicants will be considered, however SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
