Position is currently operating out of the office located at 1955 Chicago Ave, Riverside, CA but will be re-locating to Rancho Cucamonga within the next year; moving expenses will not be paid.

Under the general supervision of a Business Taxes Administrator I, the Business Taxes Compliance Specialist independently audits use tax documentation and effects filing and collection of delinquent returns of the more complex and difficult situations as well as audit the more difficult claims of exemption. The incumbent, while working autonomously, informs the supervisor of especially complex and/or sensitive issues on assigned cases and acts as an expert resource to journey level staff with responsibility under the various sales and use tax programs and provides administrative support to management and supervision. Travel to and work at assigned field sites is required up to 20% of the time, including overnight and out-of-state travel. Candidate must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Meeting the training requirements for this position may require overnight travel for up to five consecutive nights. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted.
