Job Description:
Under the general direction of the Business Administrator III the Business Taxes Administrator II is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the activities of the Technology Unit, which includes the Automated Compliance Management System (ACMS) Team and the Technology Team. This position works with a great deal of independence in resolving day to day compliance issues as requested by district office and headquarters section managers and supervisors. This position assists and advises executive management on sensitive and complex technology and programmatic issues, policies, procedures, practices and standards used in the BOE’s sales and use tax program. This position oversees the operation of BOE automated collection system (ACMS) and ensures that changes or modifications to the system are in compliance with the law and SUTD policy. This position is involved in overall department technology policy and procedure development, identification and recommendations for new technology and user security support. This position is responsible for board-wide support for various user security applications. The position will identify potential problems and prioritize, recommend, develop and formulate policies on complex technical and procedural matters. Acts on behalf of the section supervisor as needed. The position is located in a high-rise building. All applicants will be considered, however SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
