The reporting location for this position is the Hollister Hills Sector office in Hollister. This position will work under the direction of the State Park Peace Officer Supervisor (Ranger). This position serves as a team member with primary responsibility for park operation and law enforcement duties, which include but are not limited to: emergency medical response, technical rope rescue, resource management, sound monitoring programs, day use and campground patrol, trail patrol, leading park aides and volunteers, fee collection, accounting, law enforcement reports, and data collection. The District offers many opportunities for growth, including becoming an EMR, DT, firearms, ATV, or motorcycle instructor. The certification and operation of four-wheel drive vehicles, off-highway motorcycles, and all-terrain vehicles is required. There are two vacant positions available. These positions are pending Personnel Office review. State housing is not available.
