The reporting location for this position is Department Headquarters at 1416 9th Street in Sacramento. This position will work under the direction of a Staff Services Manager II. This position offers the opportunity to work in a team environment dedicated to the mission of California State Parks. This position requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to develop innovative ways of accomplishing goals. The Budget Section offers the potential for professional growth and development in a supportive team environment. The incumbent will serve as the section receptionist, primary contact for vistitors, provide clerical support for office staff, schedule meetings, and provide operational support to all budget staff members. Additional duties will include; document production, compiling information, copying, assembling materials, maintaining files, maintaining unit organization charts, reviewing mail, and acting as unit courier when needed to deliver time-sensitive materials. The incumbent may also be assigned workload or projects in other areas as needed. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook is necssary. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are highly desirable, along with the ability to successfully interact with staff at all organizational levels.
