The reporting location for this position is Columbia State Historic Park. This position reports to the Calaveras Sector Park Maintenance Chief and supervises permanent maintenance staff, seasonals and special program crews. This position is a great fit for someone who is interested in learning in detail many of the Department's program components: historic structures repair, contracting and purchasing processes, environmental review process, budgeting and project oversight, state housing, and concessions. The Park Maintenance Supervisor supervises the facilities maintenance, housekeeping, and resource programs within Columbia SHP, which includes 54 residential houses, 154 historic buildings, and 24 concession buildings. The park is part of the Columbia community and the PMS helps with community relations by keeping facilities in top condition. The incumbent plans, directs, and reviews the maintenance of all buildings, structures, roads, trails and systems. State housing may be available.
