The reporting location for this position is the Angeles District Office located in Calabasas at Malibu Creek State Park. This position will work under the direction of the District Superintendent. The incumbent will oversee the District Maintenance Auto Shop, heavy equipment and trails programs. The position is responsible for the oversight of the District-wide maintenance programs with extensive knowledge for facility and equipment management. The incumbent will need to work closely with all of our partners in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreational Area with the shared goal of preserving, protecting, and providing high quality recreational opportunities. The District Maintenance Chief will work closely with the Administrative Chief on purchasing, budgeting and personnel. The position will coordinate program and project work with the Sector Superintendents, Sector Maintenance Chiefs, Administration Chief, Natural Resources Manager, and other program administrators.
