Job Description:
This position will be located in Riverside. Under general direction, the incumbent conducts the more difficult and complex audits and serve as lead over Tax Auditors; makes audit appointments; meets with taxpayers and their representatives; explains the audit findings; prepares appropriate audit reports and written correspondence to taxpayers. Ability to travel may include overnight travel up to 20% of the time. Supplemental Questionnaire – Candidates must answer the following questions and submit their responses along with their standard applications in order to be considered for this position. Responses should be typed and no longer than two pages. 1. Describe in detail your knowledge of the Interstate Commerce Analysis Team, purpose, goals and objectives. 2. List two examples of complex cases or tasks you have handled that best describe your ability to analyze data, and interpret the laws and regulations administered by the Board of Equalization. Include in your responses the results or conclusions of the examples.
