Job Description:

The reporting location for this position is the Donner Visitor Center at Donner Memorial State Park. This position will work under the direction of the Lake Tahoe Sector North State Park Peace Officer Supervisor (Ranger). This interpreter will serve as the coordinator of the Visitor Center at Donner Memorial State Park and will be responsible for the coordination of the following interpretive responsibilities at Donner Memorial State Park: lead person to recruit, hire, train and manage volunteers to assist with the operation of the Donner Visitor Center; provide high quality interpretive, educational and school group programs; assist in the management of special events at the unit. The State Park Interpreter may be assigned to assist other park units in the District. State housing is not available.
