Job Description:

Under close supervision of the Senior Accounting Officer Supervisor, the Accountant I Specialist, in training and learning capacity, performs semi-professional accounting work in the researching, analyzing, monitoring, establishing, and maintaining of General Fund accounts and financial records. Maintains working relationships with FTB personnel, vendors, contractors, and state control agencies to facilitate the accounts payable process needed by internal management and other departments.

Current state employees with status in the above classification or lateral transfers from an equivalent class, former state employees who can reinstate into this class or persons who are reachable on a current employment list for this classification. A training and development assignment (T & D) may also be considered. All appointments are subject to SROA/Surplus hiring provisions.
