JOB DESCRIPTION :
As a partner to the Classification and Pay analysts, assist in the research and development of classification studies, background on position activities and other HR related projects. You will also assist HR with the undertaking of a very large duty statement project utilizing our IT systems that will provide for greater transparency of our duty statements for both employees, hiring managers, other state departments and the tax payers of California. In addition, assist with the online organization of files by subject matter.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS :
  • An interest in the Information Technology functions will be important to the success of this position.

WHO MAY APPLY :
Must be a college student enrolled in classes during the regular term (Fall, Spring and Winter, if applicable), at an accredited college or university and carrying a minimum of six semester units (or nine quarter units for undergraduate students), with a grade point average of 2.0 or higher. Students who are majoring in, enrolled in, and/or have been enrolled in curriculum relating to Human Resources, Organizational Development are encouraged to apply.
