JOB DESCRIPTION : Under the general direction of the Senior Administrative Analyst - Accounting Systems, independently reviews, analyzes, develops/modifies, and implements new and/or existing accounting systems and procedures; conducts studies and surveys and prepares comprehensive factual reports containing recommendations; develops, recommends, and implements changes to accounting systems policy, procedures, and practices.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience with CalSTARS and Financial Cost Analysis.
Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to work well in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with Governmental budgeting and accounting principles.
Experience with classroom and one-on-one training.
Experience designing, preparing, and analyzing reports containing complex financial data.
Desire to improve the level of services and products provided to the Department.
Experience with automated accounting systems.
Knowledge of State Fund accounting principles and procedures.
