Under the general direction of the Administrator I, the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) works as a team member of the Information Capture and Banking Section (ICBS) Project and Technical Resource Team. The incumbent assists in activities related to the analysis and support of the department’s services and projects that have direct impact on the ICBS. The analyst in this position is responsible for providing general analytical support including studies, analytical review, impact analysis, and oversight/coordination. The incumbent is expected to model appropriate behavior for others; strive for continuous improvement in the workplace; work cooperatively with others; communicate clearly and accurately; treat everyone with fairness, honesty, courtesy and respect.

The SSA will act as the lead in tracking incidents, design changes, and defects within the ICBS technical workloads. Working with the analyst team, the SSA will develop, centralize, and maintain systems to track incidents and defects. The SSA will also assist the analyst team in providing statistical data, keeping detailed and accurate documentation as appropriate, providing quality customer service, and as necessary, offering general analytical support to managers and supervisors in resolving day-to-day operational issues.


  • Experience developing or using databases or spreadsheets to track issues or assignments.
  • Ability to effectively analyze issues, define problems, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, attention to detail and accuracy, and adjust to changing priorities in an area with quick turnaround and time constraints.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally with all levels of staff.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Ability to work independently and on teams.
  • Excellent collaboration and customer service skills.
  • Positive, motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.

Current state employees with status in the above classification or lateral transfers from an equivalent class, former state employees who can reinstate into this class or persons who are reachable on a current employment list for this classification. A training and development assignment (T & D) may also be considered. All appointments are subject to SROA/Surplus hiring provisions.
