Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the general supervision of the Administrator I, in the Withholding Services and Compliance Section (WSCS), your primary function is as a team leadperson. You provide professional and technical assistance and training to team members responsible for reviewing and updating withholding information from worklists and other technical support activities. You independently analyze taxpayer information to assist team members and customers in determining withholding requirements and form processing. You work with peers and customers to explain reason(s) for changes in liabilities; ability to assess tax, interest, and penalties and make adjustment to accounts; prepare complex account resolution transactions; explain application of law related to penalties and interest, and reconstruct accounts to determine the correct outcome of adjustments. You make appropriate account adjustments on the Withhold at Source System (WASS). You are expected to provide quality service to internal and external customers. You should maintain good attendance, possess efficient and effective work habits; including time management.

  • Knowledge of PIT law, FTB systems (TI, BETS, ARCS, ECOM, WASS).

Current state employees with status in the above classification or lateral transfers from an equivalent class, former state employees who can reinstate into this class or persons who are reachable on a current employment list for this classification. A training and development assignment (T & D) may also be considered. All appointments are subject to SROA/Surplus hiring provisions.
