This is a two year limited term position which may become permanent if funding is approved and/or workload is permanently established. Under the general supervision of the Accounting Administrator II, the Associate Accounting Analyst independently performs complex analysis of Revolving Fund accounting processes and functions. Analyzes the impact of Control Agencies’ policy changes on Revolving Fund procedures and makes recommendations and initiates implementation of new policies and procedures. Monitors the Board’s Revolving Fund balance. Extensive contacts are made with BOE offices, Board Members and their staff, and Control Agencies such as the State Controller’s Office (SCO) and the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR). The position is located in a high-rise building. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
Educational requirements: Completion of the equivalent of 45 semester units given by a collegiate-grade residence or correspondence institution, of which 24 units must include courses in financial accounting, managerial accounting, intermediate/advanced accounting, fund/governmental accounting, cost accounting, auditing, business law, computer applications/management information systems.
