Job Description:
Under general direction, the Tax Technician III Cashier performs the full range of cashiering duties and is responsible for the overall operation of a district/branch cashier’s office as well as the most difficult and complex technical duties. This includes, but is not limited to, processing, verifying and balancing all monies received, preparing transmittal documents, headquarters transmittals and bank deposits. Responsible for controlling press numbered accountable forms and maintains the keeper warrant log. Requires to work from 8:00am to 5:30pm if needed. Meeting the training requirements for this position may require overnight training for up to five consecutive nights. The incumbent will receive an additional $100.00 per month pay differential. The position is located in a high-rise building. The position requires the incumbent be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
