Under supervision of the Supervising Tax Auditor II, the Tax Technician II is responsible for the more complex, technical duties related to processing of Sales and Use Tax appeal cases. This includes, but is not limited to, adjustments to the accounts receivable balances of taxpayers on the Board’s Integrated Revenue system, initiating notices and refunds, processing recommendations for relief of penalty, and full responsibility for the timely preparation and submission of the scheduled Board non-appearance calendar and submissions to the public record. The applicant must demonstrate work accuracy and the ability to timely meet reporting deadlines. All applicants will be considered, however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority. The position is in a high-rise building.
