The Centralized Revenue Opportunity System (CROS) Project is a modernization effort to replace BOE’s legacy mainframe-based revenue and collection systems, to develop an enterprise data warehouse, and to expand online services.
The CROS Project needs 1.0 Systems Software Specialist II (Technical).
Under the direction of the Data Processing Manager III, the Systems Software Specialist II (Technical) (SSS II) works independently, requiring little direct supervision, on the IT Operations Team as the recognized technical specialist in the largest and most complex information systems within the BOE. The SSS II develops and operates infrastructure, which includes infrastructure maintenance and enhancement, deployment of solutions, management of production systems, and IT Planning. The SSS II develops Information Systems, which includes coordinating with, and serving as backup for, the Infrastructure Architect (SSS3) in: Developing technical standards and procedures; Developing and operating technical solutions; Developing and operating technical infrastructure. The SSS II coordinates the Systems Development Life Cycle and leads the Development of CROS Project Team Infrastructure Requirements. The SSS II also assists with project planning and leads technical staff in building and maintaining the most complex information systems. The position is located in a high-rise building.
