Under the general direction of the Area Administrator, the Office Technician provides clerical support for the staff and Area Administrator. Duties include maintenance of a caseload tracking system, proofreading correspondence, and maintaining confidential taxpayer administrator files. This position requires a high degree of initiative, independence, and originality in order to complete tasks with minimal supervision or specific details. This position may become permanent if the workload is permanently established. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority. This position is located in the Norwalk Investigations Division.
