The Staff Information Systems Analyst performs a variety of complex analytical and technical processes to support the definition and implementation of solutions for business problems and opportunities. The business analyst will elicit requirements using interviews, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, use cases, and task and workflow analysis. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements. The business analyst will work across all levels of the organization. The business analyst must understand business needs and opportunities and define specific objectives and characteristics of an effective solution, and recommend solution concepts that can be implemented within the constraints of schedule, cost, and technical capabilities of the organization. Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously. Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers. Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong organization, analytical and problem solving abilities are required.
