Job Description:
Under close supervision and in a learner capacity, the Graduate Student Assistant/Student Assistant will be responsible for a wide variety of technical support duties. On-the-job training and observation will be used to reinforce understanding and application of various work procedures. This includes, but is not limited to assisting a lead Business Taxes Representative working active, closed and revoked sales and use tax accounts. The accounts are worked from the office by telephone and/or mail using an inside collection program. When necessary and warranted, field calls will be made to the business and other locations. Actions taken are recorded on case notes. Wage will be adjusted per hourly rate worked. Meeting the training requirements for this position may require overnight travel for one or more consecutive days. Continued enrollment in college courses is required. Students with academic majors related to Auditing, Accounting, Business, Economics and Finance are encouraged to apply. Hours are flexible.
