Under the general direction of the Business Taxes Administrator III (BTA III), the Administrator, through subordinate supervisors, plans, directs, controls, organizes, and evaluates the work performed in the Return Processing Branch. The Administrator directs a staff of approximately 40 positions consisting of a variety of supervisory, compliance, and support personnel. The Administrator plans, develops, and recommends section policy and procedures, and is also responsible for interpreting and applying provisions of the laws and rules administered by the BOE and the policies developed by the BOE, as well as ensuring compliance with BOE tax laws. Additionally, the Administrator will provide functional guidance to the BTA III regarding emerging issues impacting the twenty-nine (29) different tax and fee programs administered by the Division; be responsible for the refund process associated with the return review function along with the responsibility for the self audit program to conform with internal audit guidelines. The position is located in a high-rise building. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
