Job Description:
Will use Associate Governmental Program Analyst list as an appropriate for Associate Personnel Analyst.

SROA/Surplus candidates must attach a copy of their most recently dated letter that specifies this designation. Qualified candidates must have eligibility in State employment, be in a reachable rank on an employment list for this classification, be currently in this classification, or have transfer eligibility to this classification. Please clearly state your eligibility in the “Explanations” Section on your application.

Candidates should have previous human resource experience and possess strong analytical, organizational, time management, and detail oriented skills; must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrate good judgment; have the ability to work under pressure, performing multiple tasks with accuracy and precision; maintain confidentiality; and effectively apply laws, rules, regulations, and bargaining unit contract provisions as they relate to the State’s disciplinary process. Must be able to work effectively with all levels of staff, be a creative problem solver, and have a desire for personal and professional development.

The incumbent will be responsible for providing guidance, consultation, and recommendations to supervisors and managers on employee performance issues, disciplinary matters, and writing adverse actions and notices of rejection. The APA also provides performance management training to supervisors and managers. Travel is required 10% of the time. This position is located in a high-rise building.
