Under the general direction of the Mailroom Unit Office Services Supervisor II (OSS II), the Office Technician (General) performs various duties related to the Mailroom Unit and Copy Center. Duties include, but not limited to, the following:
DUTIES: Responsible for scheduled, daily, mail pickup and delivery to and from DCA buildings and other state offices/organizations throughout the Sacramento area in a state vehicle. Train employees on routes and mailroom procedures. Receive and sign for express mail deliveries. Check vehicles for hazards and turn vehicles into the State Garage for repairs and maintenance. Receive and store bulk publication requests. Move boxes, set up and tear down table and chair configurations. Use photocopy, fax and other office related equipment during the course of business.
MANDATORY: Must have a Valid CA Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated ability to act independently, open-mindedness, flexibility, and tact.

All methods of appointments, including Training and Development (T&D) Assignments will be considered.
