Job Description:

This position may be filled by a candidate reachable on the current promotional list. Under the general direction of the Program Manager of the Audit Policy, Protest & Administration Bureau, the incumbent will provide leadership to technical and professional staff engaged in a variety of functions including the management of technical tax law and audit procedural training provided by the Audit Training Academy. Provide oversight and guidance to the audit recruiter in identifying auditor candidates with the proper technical and analytical skills. Use innovation to develop and deliver auditor training at all career levels and to multiple field office locations. Provide work planning, revenue reporting, and position control. Plan, track, and report the budget and spending of the Audit Division. This position provides exposure and experience with efforts having division and enterprise impacts and to be involved directly with various management levels regarding planning and administrative responsibilities.

Current state employees with status in the above classification or lateral transfers from an equivalent class, former state employees who can reinstate into this class or persons who are reachable on a current employment list for this classification. A training and development assignment (T & D) may also be considered. All appointments are subject to SROA/Surplus hiring provisions.
