Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general direction of Supervising Custodian II or their designee:

Perform a variety of custodial cleaning tasks which include sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, spotting and waxing floors; vacuuming rugs and carpets; cleaning and disinfecting lobbies, offices, kitchens, stairs, elevators, clinics, labs, patient areas and support rooms. Performs scouring of sinks, toilets, shower stalls, disinfecting floors, walls and furniture. Duties are assigned daily by supervisors and subject to change due to staffing issues and needs, rotations and shifts. Demonstrate a complete knowledge of chemicals and equipment used in performing all required cleaning duties.

Empties trash, relining containers, fills and polishes dispensers, vacuums and cleans vents, performs high and low dusting, removes soiled linen bags and soiled personal clothing carts, transports soiled linen carts to appropriate dock for pick up, performs isolation cleaning, blood spills and emergency clean up.

Performs floor and carpet care duties of stripping, waxing, sealing, buffing, where required, throughout the facility.

Performs furniture moves within the building, set ups and take downs. Change draperies, cubicle curtains and shower curtains. Participate in ongoing training about chemicals, policies and procedures, infection control, etc.

Other related duties as required.
