Job Description:
Under supervision of a Staff Services Manager I, the incumbent performs technical work of less complexity as it relates to the preparation and maintenance of the Department's budget databases within the Budget Management Branch (BMB). Occasional statewide travel may be required. The percentages listed below for responsibilities may vary slightly depending on the specific strengths of the analyst and the workload of the unit.

50% Under the supervision of a SSM I, is responsible for assisting and implementing in the design and application of data systems that collect and disseminate pertinent fiscal information for BMB. Provides special fiscal reports to management upon requests, assists in maintaining MS Access database, Excel and, and SQL to generate fiscal reports with oversight from the SSM I or associate level staff.

30% Acts as a liaison with Business Information Systems to assist in coordination and facilitation of information regarding Business Intelligence Reports, Process Definition Documents, and enterprise project enhancements. Assists in the preparation of departmental costings for Budget Concept Proposals and Finance Letters at the direction of the SSM I. Represent the branch in meetings, conferences, training seminars and inquiries for information regarding budgetary data issues. Support program administrators and managers in the interpretation and application of Budget Act Language and Budget Letters.

15% Assist management and/or associate level staff in preparation and processing of Monthly Budget Plans. Provide assistance and training to Budget staff in the use of office automation software.

5% Performs other related special projects and duties as required in coordination with the SSM I or associate level staff. <
