The reporting location for this position is the hilltop Grounds Section. This position will work under the direction of the Supervising Groundskeeper II. This position performs a variety of skilled and non-skilled grounds keeping work for the San Luis Obispo Coast District. The District is looking for a self-directed person. The incumbent is responsible for care and maintenance of landscaped and natural areas surrounding Hearst Castle, by planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, deadheading roses, shrubs and trees. The incumbent's schedule will be 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. A valid California Driver's License is highly desirable. This position may work up to 1500 hours per year. State housing is not available.
