Job Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the general direction of the Multistate Audit Manager of the Midwest Region, the incumbent's primary function is to supervise the activities of an audit unit comprised of experienced auditors who are engaged in auditing the largest multistate and multinational corporations in accordance with the Bank and Corporation Tax Law and established departmental Audit Program Guidelines. The incumbent is responsible for workload management and the continued development of auditors through the technical review of cases, inventory review and workload assignments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Abilty to work in a team environment while keeping an Enterprise perspective and demonstrating initiative, ownership, accountability and independence.
  • Ability to model high standards of honesty, integrity, trust and ethical behavior.
  • Field Audit Supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of multistate corporate tax law and issues.
  • Knowledge of the departmental organization and functions.
  • Involvement in a diversity of activities, program areas, and/or positions that have provided you with a greater understanding and appreciation for the broader perspective of the department/enterprise.
  • Demonstrated performance encouraging positive relationships, creating high job satisfaction, encouraging success, showing understanding, and being trusting and supportive.

Current state employees with status in the above classification or lateral transfers from an equivalent class, former state employees who can reinstate into this class or persons who are reachable on a current employment list for this classification. A training and development assignment (T & D) may also be considered. All appointments are subject to SROA/Surplus hiring provisions.
