The Lien Program is looking for an energetic, hard-working individual to join our team. If you have a great attitude and the desire to work in a strong team environment, the Lien Program is the right place for you. Under the general direction of the Administrator I, the Compliance Representative analyzes PIT and BE accounts, applies applicable laws and FTB policies and procedures to ensure the State’s interest is secured. The Compliance Representative performs account analysis on complex lien cases, performs transactions, and initiates and responds to written correspondence and incoming telephone calls received from taxpayers, their representatives, and Real Estate professionals.


  • Excellent attendance, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of FTB systems (TI, ARCS, BETS, EWLS, INC).
  • Experience in collections, real estate, escrow, or title industry.
  • Ability to follow direction, adhere to procedures, and effectively use resources.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work and willingness to shift priorities to meet program goals.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to comprehend legal documents.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Current state employees with status in the above classification or lateral transfers from an equivalent class, former state employees who can reinstate into this class or persons who are reachable on a current employment list for this classification. A training and development assignment (T & D) may also be considered. All appointments are subject to SROA/Surplus hiring provisions.
