The reporting location for this position is Columbia State Historic Park near Sonora. This position will work under the direction of the Sector Superintendent. The State Park Peace Officer Supervisor (Ranger) will perform various responsibilities, including but not limited to: supervising all aspects of the Visitor Services function; complete administrative and public safety reports such as attendance, accounting, timekeeping, scheduling, hiring/separating, crime and accident reports; plan, schedule, and evaluate interpretive programs and special events, maintain exhibits; supervise two Rangers, an Interpreter, and seasonal aides; may serve as Cooperating Association Liaison and supervise the docent program; may represent the Department at various public meetings; and work with maintenance, concessions, and sector leadership to ensure the park is looking its best and the Department is providing high-quality customer service. This position may work at other units in the sector as directed. State housing may be available.
