This is a Limited Term Intermittent position and may work at a maximum of 1500 hours per calendar year. This position may become Permanent in the future.
Two positions available.
Under the supervision of an Air Resources Supervisor II, this position will assist with carrying out the periodic review and assessment of the ZEV regulation. Specifically, this position will gather, tabulate, and analyze information and data related to market trends and automaker compliance with the ZEV regulation. The position will also compile and analyze environmental and emissions data related to life cycle impacts from ZEVs.
Knowledge of: zero emission vehicle technologies (batteries and fuel cells), chemistry and technologies; basic statistical and mathematical computational techniques, chemistry, arithmetic, spelling, grammar and English composition.
Ability to: Learn rapidly; follow directions; communicate effectively and establish cooperative relations with other staff and those contacted in the work; analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action; speak and write effectively; gather, compute, and analyze scientific data; review, check, and interpret air quality data and regulations.
