JOB DESCRIPTION : Under the general guidance of a Tax Program Supervisor (TPS) in the Information Capture and Banking Section, the TPT I acts as a Lead in the Technical Support Unit; assists with providing technical and training support for the IPACS, iCapture and/or Tandem systems; assist in ensuring staff are provided with correct and appropriate training, create and maintain a large volume of programs and procedures utilized for all processes and is involved with system maintenance, which includes trouble-shooting activities and annual changes. This includes, but is not limited to identifying, researching and resolving system and procedural issues and manuals. The TPT I also performs activities in support of processing returns and documents. The TPT I works with all programs, PIT, BE, and Non-Tax. The section is production-oriented, where you must be able to work independently, exercise good judgment, be flexible and require minimal supervision or review.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Knowledge and experience with the IPACS, Tandem, and Icapture systems and PIT, BE and Non-Tax workloads
Knowledge of Year End Shutdown and Annual Change processes
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Ability to remain flexible in response to changing priorities
Strong oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
Good analytical and organizational skills
Experience coordinating and conducting training classes
Ability to communicate clearly and possess good presentation skills

May be required to work swing shift
