JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the general direction of the System Software Specialist III (Sup), the incumbent functions as a member of the Middleware and Integration Services Development Unit, responsible for collaborating with middleware developers, legacy systems support staff, and business partners to perform system analysis and system testing for the ongoing development, enhancement, and maintenance of the middleware software solutions supporting data exchange between FTB’s legacy systems while following the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and adhering to industry best practices.

- Experience with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in application testing methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to reason logically and creatively, identify problems, draw valid conclusions, and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to perform detailed analysis, define technical problems, and recommend effective solutions.
- Ability to work in a team environment and handle multiple project priorities and workloads.
- Ability to shift priorities and/or workloads in order to achieve project goals.
- Strong interpersonal, problem solving, analytical, planning, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of information technologies, trends and best practices, including ITIL, SOA and BPM.
Current state employees with status in the above classification or lateral transfers from an equivalent class, former state employees who can reinstate into this class or persons who are reachable on a current employment list for this classification. A training and development assignment (T & D) may also be considered. All appointments are subject to SROA/Surplus hiring provisions.
