JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the general direction of the Command Center Services Section’s section manager, the Operations Architect is responsible for defining, creating and implementing enterprise operational standards and processes related to the day to day operational support of FTB’s mission critical IT services including the Enterprise Data to Revenue (EDR) project. The Operations unit provides 24x7x365 enterprise support to both internal and external services and customers. The incumbent will work with departmental subject matter experts and vendors to define and transition the daily operational support of EDR to the FTB. The incumbent will also perform the most complex level 2 and 3 support activities including performance and availability monitoring, event/ incident/problem management, batch processing, database monitoring and maintenance, IBML scanner support, server and service restarts, data fixes, ad hoc reporting, JCL, SQL and XQuery scripting.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Strong knowledge and experience with IBM Tivoli Monitoring, Scheduling and Data Backup tools.
Strong knowledge and experience supporting Windows, UNIX, and Mainframe operating systems.
Strong knowledge and experience with JCL, SQL and XQuery.
Experience working in a 24x7 operational environment.
Strong knowledge of FTB’s enterprise IT infrastructure and services.
Strong knowledge of EDR and FTB’s Legacy tax systems, business areas and functions.
Strong written and oral communication skills including preparation of detailed technical documentation.
Strong communication, analytical, problem solving, planning, and organizational skills.
Project management experience with projects impacting multiple functional areas.
Knowledge and experience with event, incident, problem, release and change management processes.
Knowledge of ITIL and IT Service Management.
