This is a two year limited term position which may become permanent if funding is approved and/or workload is permanently established. Under the direction of the Accounting Administrator II, the Associate Accounting Analyst independently performs complex professional and technical accounting work in the establishment, maintenance, research and analysis of accounts and financial records for the Revenue Section. Considerable contacts are made with Board offices, the Budget Section, the Cashier Section, State Controller’s Office (SCO), State Treasurer’s Office (STO), Department of Finance, Bureau of State Audits, and various State departments. The position is located in a high-rise building. The position requires the incumbent to be fingerprinted. All applicants will be considered however, SROA/Surplus will be given priority.
Educational requirements: Completion of the equivalent of 45 semester units given by a collegiate-grade residence or correspondence institution, of which 24 units must include courses in financial accounting, managerial accounting, intermediate/advanced accounting, fund/governmental accounting, cost accounting, auditing, business law, computer applications/management information systems.
