To be eligible, you must meet the minimum qualifications established by the Department of Human Resources AND either be currently eligible or eligible for reinstatement as a PC 830.2, California State Peace Officer. The reporting location for this position is the sector office located at the Antelope Valley Indian Museum State Historic Park. This position will work under the direction of the Sector Superintendent. This position will be responsible for the interpretation, safety and enforcement, employee supervision, visitor center, day use and campground operation, natural resource management, volunteer management, special events, filming, and training. There are six units in the sector: Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve State Natural Reserve, Antelope Valley Indian Museum State Historic Park, Arthur B. Ripley Desert Woodland State Park, Red Rock Canyon State Park, Saddleback Butte State Park, and Tomo Kahni State Historic Park. State housing is not available.
