The reporting location for this position is Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park located in Earlimart. This position will work under the direction of the Sector Superintendent. Tehachapi District is seeking an enthusiastic, organized individual who can encourage and unite staff within the Sector to accomplish the many maintenance goals. The Park Maintenance Chief I will be responsible for the planning, directing and organizing of maintenance objectives for the Tejon Sector. Tejon Sector consists of Fort Tejon State Historic Park, Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park and Tule Elk State Natural Reserve. This position requires working closely with vendors and contractors and must be knowledgeable of procurement requirements in order to accomplish the extensive project work in the units. The incumbent will assist in developing and monitoring maintenance contracts, evaluate programs, facilities and services. Coordinates staff, keeps informed of personnel policies, procedures and is familiar with employee appropriate labor contracts. State housing may be available.
