JOB DESCRIPTION :
Under the general direction of the Bureau Director, working through program managers, the incumbent has full management responsibility in directing a highly complex, sensitive, and high profile departmental program.

The incumbent is responsible for budget planning, administering long and short term business plans, including establishing metrics to evaluate program performance, developing and recommending new collection tools, programs, policies, and procedures.

The incumbent works closely with his/her peers throughout the department and the ARM Division to ensure program consistency and that departmental goals and objectives are met. The incumbent oversees a large and/or highly complex section of the Bureau. The incumbent works with all levels of management, expert staff and teams to address and resolve emergent issues. The incumbent collaborates with enterprise peers through the departmental governance process to accomplish program objectives. The incumbent collaborates with highly influential taxpayer organizations, high level managers of local, state and national organizations to achieve business objectives and resolve issues of mutual interest. The incumbent assesses environment factors and oversees the program functions to ensure flexible practices and procedures are in place to address and respond to a dynamic environment resulting from legislation, stakeholders, overseers, societal preference and emerging technology. The incumbent is knowledgeable of the work performed throughout the FTB and ARM Division and understands the activities and processes that produce FTB’s products and services.

The following postions are being filled:

  • Tax Account Resolution Section, Statewide Collection Bureau
  • Compliance and Resolution, Section B, PIT Billing, Compliance and Collection Bureau
